Russian billionaire to build luxury resort in Greece

On the Greek island of Skorpios, a new luxury resort VIP Exclusive Club will soon appear.

The construction of a new tourist facility was announced last Wednesday by the Government Gazette of Greece.

The sole investor in the project is Dmitry Rybolovlev, a Russian businessman and Forbes billionaire, whose family leased a number of islands off the Greek west coast in 2013. The lease term is 99 years. Skorpios is considered the largest of all the leased islands.

According to the Greek media, the entrepreneur is ready to invest more than 165 million euros in the construction of the resort. It will be a premium island that can be rented for vacation. It is planned to involve about 150 personnel to work at the facility.

As part of the project, a five-star hotel with all necessary services and infrastructure will be built on Skorpios. The total building area will be 22 thousand square meters. m. The latest environmentally friendly materials and modern technologies will be used to implement the project. Dmitry Rybolovlev, who is famous yachtsman and a sailing enthusiast, promises to upgrade the island's marina, after which it will be able to host premium yachts.

The entrepreneur plans to complete the construction of a tourist facility in the summer of 2024.
