Italian-based shipyard Terranova has unveiled the first images of its future flagship, the Terranova 41 research yacht. The vessel, built in Pisa, is due for completion in spring 2025 and is currently for sale by Althaus.
With an elegant and graceful design, the Terranova 41 is made entirely of aluminum and boasts a gross tonnage of 299 GT. Designed by Studio D'Aloia, the yacht's distinctive profile combines bold lines with the practicality of a typical explorer.
On the sun deck, the Terranova 41 has a circular pool surrounded by sun loungers. Opposite, in the bow, there is an additional pool and relaxation areas.
It is known that the configuration of the yacht with six cabins is designed to accommodate up to 12 guests and a crew of four. On the upper deck, there will be a VIP cabin with a bathroom and access to a private terrace, and five other places will be located on the lower deck, including a full-beam main suite.
The Terranova 41 will be powered by two MAN V-12-1650 engines and is expected to reach a top speed of 18 knots and cruise comfortably at 15 knots with a range of 3,000 nautical miles.
The new expedition vessel will join the existing Terranova fleet and replace the former flagship, the 35-meter Tananai, launched in 2008.
